Bryn Berwyn Guest Information

Check in and Check out:

  • Check in is at 4pm (Unless otherwise agreed beforehand). If you do arrive earlier than this you are welcome to park and leave your car at the property and have a walk down to the local village of Tresaith and enjoy a drink in the pub/restaurant while we finish preparing the property for you.
  • If you believe you are going  to be later than 4pm please telephone us on 01239 545 028 and let us know your estimated time of arrival as we do not live at the property so will need to arrange to come meet you.
  • Check out is at 10am latest on the day of departure.  We unfortunately cannot allow late check out (unless this has been booked in advance) due to the time it takes to make our house perfect for the next guests.

Parking:

  • There is a pickup and drop off zone at the rear of the property.  The main car parking area for all guests of Bryn Berwyn is down the gravel parking area behind the house, please park at the bottom of that gravel area so as not to block anyone in and please ensure all your guests park here please and not anywhere else – please DO NOT park outside the Blue House *(Ty Henri) as that is reserved for the guests of that property.

General House Information:

  • The house is fully equipped with and we provide the following to get you started; all bedding, hand and bath  towels (you will need to bring your own towels for the beach), coffee, tea, sugar, some dishwasher tablets, fire lighting equipment to get you started (during the winter only), hand soap, washing up liquid, bin liners, two rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom, basic cleaning products in the kitchen, tea towels and oven gloves.  As it is a self-catering property you will need to supply anything else you will need for your stay.
  • Please take note of the refuse bins in the property, they all note what can and cannot go in them. We would appreciate your co-operation with this as the local authorities are strict with their recycling policies!
  • Please can we ask that you empty all rubbish bins in the house and put in the appropriate outside bins (situated behind the fence between the two properties) before you leave.
  • Please can we ask that you leave the property exactly as you find it. Please can you make sure the dishes are emptied out of the dishwasher and put away before you leave.
  • When you leave we do ask that you take away ALL unused food with you as we cannot dispose of this and will charge for any additional waste costs we may incur.
  • Cost of heating is included in the rate and the heating is on a timer which is set to come on three times a day, as are the electric towel rails.  To turn the heat up or down in each room simply turn the controllers on the radiators.
  • The house has free WIFI access, simply go to a browser on your device and enter your email address when prompted to gain free access.
  • There is a brick built BBQ outside near the decking area. You will need to provide your own charcoal for this and please empty it into the metal bin before you leave.
  • Full instructions on using the Hot Tub are in the property.  We ask that you take the time to read these very carefully and please follow the instructions fully so as to get the most out of your use of the Hot Tub and to ensure that you are safe and it remains undamaged.  Any damages must be paid for.

Infants/Babies

  • We can provide 2 travel cots for your babies or infants if needed, please just let us know and let us know which room you would like them put into.  We have found that most people prefer to bring their own bedding for their babies as they find they sleep better in what they are used to so we will not put any bedding in the cots. . If however you do need bedding for the travel cots please let us know before you arrive so we can make the cots up for you.
  • We have 2 high chairs available in the house should you need them.

Dogs:

  • If you are bringing a dog with you on your stay we ask that you keep them in the living area downstairs and not allow them into any of the bedrooms.
  • Please can you ensure you clean up after your dog if you walk them on our lawns!
  • The first dog is included in the price of the rental, all other dogs (up to a maximum of 3) will be £25 each, cash payable on arrival.

Allergies:

  • The house does have feather pillows in some bedrooms and feather cushions in the living rooms.  If you or any of your party have allergies to feathers please advise us before you arrive so that we can remove them from the bedroom to be used by that person and from all the living rooms.
  • As we are a property which accepts dogs and has feathers we can not accept any liability for any allergic reaction that may occur whilst staying at our property.

Shops and Entertainment:

  • There is a local Londis store in the village of Brynhoffnant (north along the A487 approx. 3 miles) which stocks all the main necessities and there is a Tesco and an Aldi in the town of Cardigan which is approx 8 miles south along the A487 – Tesco will do a delivery to the property but please be sure to arrange the delivery at a time when you know you will be there as we cannot accept deliveries on your behalf.
  • There is a list of local restaurants attached and there are leaflets in the house of things to do in the local area but should you want to do some investigating before you get to us please CLICK HERE for a list of top things to do in the area.
  • As we have close neighbours please can we ask that you do not have any loud music etc out on the decking area after 10.30pm and please can we ask that you keep the patio doors closed to help keep any noise contained within the house so as not to disturb the neighbours.
